Pizza Casserole

Alan had a late meeting last night so I made this casserole for dinner. It was easy and very tasty. I made some changes to the original recipe. This casserole would also freeze quite well so you can make it ahead of time.
I served it with garlic bread and a salad.



Ingredients:
  • 1 box wheat rotini
  • 1 extra large container of spaghetti sauce
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese {or more depending on how much you ♥ cheese!}
  • 1 lbs ground turkey meat
  • 1 package turkey pepperoni
  • Two handfuls fresh basil
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom of a rectangle baking dish, tear up a few basil leaves and add it to the sauce
  • Layer 2: 1/2 half your noodles
  • 3: half of the meat
  • 4: half of the sauce, add more basil
  • 5: rest of the noodles
  • 6: half the cheese
  • 7: rest of the meat 
  • 8: rest of the sauce, add more basil
  • 9: rest of the cheese
  • 10: 1/2 package of pepperonis
Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Remove foil and let bake uncovered for 15 more minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
