So, what are everyone's favorite snack foods to keep around the house? We have the same snacks over and over until we get tired of them--so that if it's not meal time it often seems like there's
nothing to eat.
Here are our overused favorites:
- Cereal
- Frozen waffles or Toaster Strudel
- Popcorn
- Yogurt
- Nachos and salsa, queso, and/or cheese
And with a little preparation:
- TGIFriday's frozen potato skins or mozarella sticks
- Omelettes
- Cheese or cinnamon toast
Good cheese and crackers; apple slices and peanut butter; smoothie of ice, yogurt, fruit; adding fresh fruit and homemade granola to plain yogurt

ReplyDeleteActually, we don't eat popcorn every night. My favorite snack is nuts. I buy them in individual packs at Sam's so I don't eat too many. You can get 48 individual packets of peanuts for about $10. They are a good pick-me-up driving home from work and they have a lot of protein. At home, I also like banana with peanut butter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions! I try not to buy unhealthy snacks because if I don't buy them, we won't eat them. Cheeze-Its makes a whole wheat variety now, though, so I'm adding that to the list.
